November first the Gallery switches over to all new artwork save for three pieces. The Support our Troops stained glass piece, my rose and my pig will stay = the rest will be all new. We will give all the unsold old artwork back, accept and hang the new artwork, and plan for a crazy awesome reception on November 22nd. The same night as the miniature show. The Gallery will have a totally NEW feel - I'm excited to see how the energy of the building changes from what it is now.
November 22nd will find me serving cookies, wine, and sandwiches to the public as they come in to view the new artwork at the gallery, AND miniature pictures that 20 incredible artists have made in addition to the artwork on the walls. That is the same night as Starlighting here in Castle Rock - where we officially light the holiday star upon the rock. I have completed one of my mini's and am nearly done with the second and have alot of ideas for more. I just need to get down there today and work my little pencils off!! With Halloween literally around the corner I also find myself making costumes, decorating the house, and preparing for trick or treators. We are going to give out toys and playdoh this year in loo of candy and see how it goes over. The Holiday season has officially started - what a crazy busy time it will be too!
I have updated the webpage ( www.TRCreations.com ) and added two new pictures to the mix in the Gallery section. My rooster didn't win anything in the show that he is in - but I am pleased with the people that did win. The judges wanted unique never seen kinds of things - and the people who won did just that!! They loved my rooster though!! It was a great night! Both of my boys won honorable mention for their unique styles - I'm very proud of them!
A challenge for you - this year for the holidays - make something for someone you love. Something from your heart!
Happy Creating!!
